Revitalizing Traditional Maori Astronomy.

Rangi Matamua, professor and associate dean at The University of Waikato in New Zealand. will present a free public lecture at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Ken Blankenship Education Wing of the Museum in the multipurpose room.

Matamua’s areas of expertise include Māori history, culture, language development and revitalization, astronomy and traditional weaponry.
