Directions to the Museum
From the east (Asheville, NC),
take Interstate 40 west to exit 27 (Hwy. 74), and travel west on Hwy. 74 to
Exit 74 (the Cherokee/Great Smoky Mountains National Park exit). Bear right
on Exit 74 and proceed app. five miles on Hwy. 441
north to the fourth traffic light. Turn right and proceed about a half mile
to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Hwy. 441 north, also known as Tsali Boulevard.
Proceed .6 mile to the next traffic light (intersection of Hwy. 441 & Drama
Road). Turn left and the museum will be on your left.
From the west (Gatlinburg, TN),
take Hwy. 441 south over the Smokies. When you
enter the town of Cherokee,
travel app. one mile to the intersection of Hwy. 441 & Drama Road. Turn
right and the museum will be on your left.
Note: Occasionally this route
may be closed due to inclement weather during the winter months. For road info call 828.497.1909.
From the west (Knoxville), if traveling on
Interstate 40, take I-40 east to exit 20 (Maggie Valley exit) and travel five
miles to the traffic light. Turn right
on Hwy. 19 and travel through Maggie
Valley and across Soco Mountain app. 25 miles to the town of Cherokee. Continue to the intersection of Hwy. 19 and
Hwy. 441 north and turn right on Hwy. 441 north, also known as Tsali Boulevard. Proceed .6 mile to the next traffic light
(intersection of Hwy. 441 & Drama Road).
Turn left and the museum will be on your left.
From the south (Atlanta,
GA/Franklin, NC) take Hwy. 441 north to Dillsboro, NC
where Hwy. 441 merges with Hwy. 74.
Follow Hwy. 74w/441n to Exit 74 (the Cherokee/Great Smoky Mountains
National Park exit). Bear right on Exit 74 and proceed
app. five miles on Hwy. 441 north to the fourth traffic light. Turn right and proceed about a half mile to
the next traffic light. Turn left onto
Hwy. 441 north, also known as Tsali Boulevard. Proceed .6 mile to the next traffic light
(intersection of Hwy. 441 & Drama Road).
Turn left and the museum will be on your left.
