March 13: "Cherokee Fabrics, Feather Capes, and
Fingerweaving" talks by Penelope Drooker, Ph.D.
and Cecile Ganteaume (NMAI). 7:00 pm
March 16-20: Week-long Photo Exhibit featuring photographs
taken by members of the EBCI: Jeremy Wilson;
Landon French; Vita Bradley; Jeff Marley; and Mike
Cooper. The Museum will also exhibit some of its vast
archival images. Location: Museum Lobby
March 28: Kevin Welch from the Big Cove Community of
Cherokee will discuss Cherokee being an
agri-CULTURE. 12-3pm in the Museum Lobby
April 11: Janice Wilnoty will present a white oak basket weaving
demonstration from 12-3pm in the Museum Lobby
April: Second week-long photo exhibit featuring Chris McCoy and
Bear Allison and Ogalala tribal member Scott Brings Plenty.
May 22-25: Veterans Exhibit from Steve Youngdeer VFW Post 143
in the Museum Lobby
June 13: Cherokee Voices Festival - Museum Grounds, 10am-5pm
July 13-18: Cherokee History and Culture Institute
