Event Navigation

Join us for a fun day at the 20th Cherokee Voices Festival.  Free, open to the public from 10 am–5 pm on the grounds of the Museum of the Cherokee Indian.
Two stages of traditional dance, music and storytelling.  Food by Nikki’s Frybread all day and a traditional Indian dinner at noon.

This year’s theme: “Passing the Knowledge to the Rising Generation.”  The size of the festival is doubling to include all the young artists being trained by the master basketmakers, carvers, potters, beadworkers, dancers, and storytellers.  Some young artists bring new genres like photography, decals, and computer generated arts in traditional Cherokee patterns and Cherokee syllabary.
